Sherry Rasmus is unique in the arena of player representation, an area where few females participate. Some argue that it is a man’s world, but it is true that behind every good man stands a good woman. Both Rasmus’ experience and success as a trial attorney give her a personal understanding of what it takes to become a successful professional baseball player: hard work, preparation, competitiveness and LUCK. She knows what is meant by “makeup” in a baseball player. |

Part of her service is as an advisor to young high school players and their families. She has counseled many
families in the challenge of determining the timing and wisdom of their son becoming a professional baseball player, considering such things as the maturity level of their son, the value of a college education and the promise of a career as a professional baseball player. When a young man is picked in the amateur draft, Rasmus has provided advice in the negotiations between the family and player and major league team. As an advisor, she has assisted parents and players as they negotiated
significant signing bonuses. |
